difficulty. It is the Editor's intention to give a "local habitation" to every Fugitive Poem of merit which he can procure, and which has not already found a place in any collection of the same kind as his own. Unavoidable circumstances have delayed the publication of the present Volume to a later period than was intended. The Sixth Volume will, however, certainly appear in June. A considerable portion of it, nearly the whole of the Fugitive Poetry, is at this moment printed. The Editor, therefore, earnestly requests that his Correspondents will, as soon as possible, forward their contributions; addressed to him, under cover, to Messrs. Rivingtons. They will also please to mark " Fugitive" on such pieces as have appeared in print. To save Correspondents the trouble of sending to the Publishers for such Poems as are not approved of by the Editor, he begs leave to inform them that all rejected contributions are committed to the flames.
