TITLE: Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent
PRIMARY FUNCTION:

1. develop school system strategy with other members of

ILLUSTRATION OF KEY DUTIES:

LIAISON

1. Serve as communication liaison between the Superintendency Team and all employees of the District

Investigate ways of keeping all employees more informed of noteworthy district and building events b. Develop, administer and update an internal communications program which is based on (a)

Develop and utilize procedures for eliciting information from employees for inclusion in the program

COMMUNITY RELATIONS

1. Assist the Superintendent in the development and interpretation of school-community relations and thrusts

a. Represent the schools at civic or community meetings when deemed necessary by the Superintendent or in his absence

b. Handle logistics for implementing community involvement mechanisms

Assist in the development, review, implementation and interpretation of plans for community involvement

d. Develop and maintain productive relations with community

groups

PREPARATION OF REPORTS

1. Receive, record, review, act on, and disseminate emergency reports to appropriate parties

Process all emergency reports, whatever their nature
or origin

b. Develop, utilize, inonitor, and update procedures and
reporting formats for the receipt, disposition,
dissemination, and follow-up of emergency reports
Make periodic recommendations to the Superintendent,
based upon an analysis of the emergency reports
2. Develop, utilize and update procedures for initiating,
conducting and resolving staff and special case reviews
Chair the reviews

Administer the decisions of the reviews

Periodically report the findings and decisions of the
reviews to the Superintendent

3. Provide administrative support to the Superintendent
Assist the Superintendent in the gathering of information
and the preparation of reports
