Bible events are organized in historical sequence so that readers can see the continuity and overall message of the Bible. Emphasis is placed on Old Testament scriptures that refer to God's Plan of Redemption and Salvation so that readers can see how Jesus Christ fulfilled that plan. Big Picture of the Bible can be used either as an individual or group study. It is not a replacement for reading the Bible, but rather supplements it. About the author (2014)

Lorna Daniels Nichols is president and co-founder of Big Picture Ministries, LLC, an organization devoted to encouraging spiritual growth through the study of God's Word. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Lorna enjoyed an extensive management career with a major telecommunications company. After taking an early retirement, Lorna devoted her time to Christian leadership. She started a dynamic Christian book club and simultaneously began a teaching ministry out of which Big Picture of the Bible evolved. Lorna's wide-range of expertise in project design, implementation, and management provides her with the skills essential to creating a study guide of this magnitude. Her passion for developing Big Picture of the Bible comes from her love of Christ and her desire to help others develop a more intimate and personal relationship with God through knowing His Word. Lorna and her husband John currently live in Chesterfield, Missouri, and are members of Grace Church where both are facilitators, leaders, and mentors for Christ.
