It is as interesting to the occasional visitor in his favourite researches as it is beneficial to the Valetudinary: the former, is led to the observation of Antiquities, and to the various beauties it decribes, and for which this delightful and picturesque City has acquired a distinguished pre-eminence: the latter, in the information it details how to profit in the use of those warm springs, the medicinal virtues of which, (in the cure of various diseases) thousands will acknowledge who have experienced their healing effects. The Editor has, to increase its interest, made some excellent Extracts from various ingenions Treatises on the medicinal properties of the Bath Waters. The very rapid Sale of the three First Editions of the New Historic Bath Guide, has flattered the Publisher, that his efforts, though humble, have received the stamp of Public approbation.
