We believe it to be our privilege to witness the dawn of millenial glory, and to all who doubt we would say, can ye not discern the signs of the times? Our Savior's first coming was foretold by a star in the east, but long since has it been predicted that the approach of his second and more glorious advent, should be first perceived in this Western World; that on our own happy land should be shed the first rays of millenial light. Who cannot discover in the wonderful and unexampled out-pouring of the Spirit at the present period, and in the universal dissemination of the word of God, strong indications that this prophecy is about to be fulfilled; and who is not ready to ask in connection with these glorious events, What means a moving world? What mean the shaking of civil and ecclesiastical despotism, the tottering of thrones, the falling of crowns, and the mighty revolutions of empire in the old world? He whose right it is to reign directs these changes. Who then can behold them and not hear Him say, "Surely I come quickly." Even so; come, Lord Jesus! Amen.
