The Israelites pass through the Red sea. CHAP. XV.
said, Why have we done this, that we have let
Israel go from serving us?

6 And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:

7 And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.

The Egyptians drowned.

26 T And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thy hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen."

The song of Moses.

THEN sang Moses and the children of Israci this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

20 And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do. 21 Moreover, thou shall provide out of all the people, able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens: 22 And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee. The descent of God on the mount

23 And Moses said unto the LORD, The people

The ten commandments given.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven
image, or any likeness of any thing that is in

8 Remember the sabbath-day to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath-day, and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother; that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.

13 There shall not a hand touch it, but he shall
surely be stoned or shot through: whether it be
beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet
soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.

CHAP. XXI, XXII.

25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

CHAP. XXII.

Laws against sundry offences.
