If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him; if iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back this I know; for God is for me.

Ps. Ixi. 1, 2, 3, 5,

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. For thou, O God, hast heard my vows.
