Ken taught Science at Wyalusing Valley High School from 1955 to 1983. In 1958 he was awarded a National Science Teacher Fellowship from the Pennsylvania State University. During his time at Wyalusing Valley he coached Baseball, established the Aviation Club, and helped innumerable students develop a positive attitude about studying Science, as well as a positive outlook about life itself. He was also not hesitant, if asked, to describe his personal view of how science and creation complimented each other. This detailed account, by his wife Sally, of their time together during his 1980 Sabbatical leave from Wyalusing Valley High School helps reinforce how much he cared about living out his priorities and about helping people in general.
