fabmiffion and thankfulness of heart, his glorious mercy, and diftinguifhing love to thy foul; that he hath not rejected thee among them that perifh, and given thee up to thy own heart's luft: But hath chofen thee in CHRIST, before the world was; and now hath called thee by his grace, to follow him in the regeneration, as the effect and evidence of his eternal electing love towards thee.

Don't murmur, and fay why hath not God given his Son a raníom for other finners alfo? Remember he was under no obligation, O believer, to give him a ransom for thee. Attempt not therefore, with the fcanty line of thy finite reason, to measure the ways of God, whofe understanding is infinite. Whatever God fpeaks must needs be true, because he speaks it; and whatever God doth must needs be juft and right, because he doth it; altho' to man's corrupt reafon it may appear otherwife: Therefore wait patiently the event, and thou fhalt fee that the ways of GOD are just and equal.-This once relieved, and fatisfied my mind on this very subject. He hath loved you, and will love you unto the end: Yet know this, GOD hateth iniquity, therefore depart thou from it; he loveth righteousness, therefore follow after it. Hath the Son of GOD bled to death upon the cross for thy fins, and wilt thou ftill be the fervant of fin? What, fhall we continue in fin that grace may abound? God forbid.
