The issue of men's spiritual struggles has been a passion for him and has culminated in this writing. Nichols has served as a teacher, administrator and consultant for both K - 12 schools and higher education institutions. He served as Associate Dean of Students at a Christian university where he mentored many young adults. He has authored three books, contributed to monologues and published widely in professional journals. He holds a Doctor of Education Degree from the University of Alabama. Nichols is an ordained deacon and has been an active church member since his teens.
