KRATZER, DIRECTOR, DIVISION OF INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS, U.S. ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION AGREEMENT WITH COLOMBIA Dr. NABRIT. Mr. Chairman and members of the committee, I appreciate having this opportunity to testify before the committee on an amendment to our agreement for cooperation with Colombia. The amendment was developed primarily to extend the present agreement, which is scheduled to expire on March 28. Preparation of the amendment provided also the opportunity to incorporate in the agreement modifications recently included in other agreements, as well as to reflect the authority in the 1964 "private ownership" legislation. 1 See Congressional Record (daily edition) for Mar. 6 and Mar. 20, 1967, pp. S3152 and $4056, respectively. |
