This is an appropriation request which totals $224,404,000 for the U.S. Information Agency. Specifically the sum provides $196,737,000 for salaries and expenses, an increase of $8,737,000 over 1973 funds; $6,542,000 for salaries and expenses, special foreign currency program, a decrease of $5,958,000 below the 1973 appropriation; $4,057,000 for special international exhibitions, a decrease of $889,000 below 1973; $68,000 for special international exhibitions, special foreign currency program, which is a reduction of $289,000 below 1973; and $17 million for acquisition and construction of radio facilities, or an increase of $16 million over the 1973 appropriation.
