These are not only prize winners at our 1928 reunion, but challenge all comers at our 1929 reunion.

NOTHER year has passed into history with the Wenrich. Family Association of America continuing its progressive march toward the goal provided for in its By-Laws, as follows:

"The object of this Association shall be to insure closer ties of relationship, and to bring into closer union and intimacy the Wenrich Family group of America; to honor and perpetuate the memory of our ancestors, to cultivate the unselfish spirit of their patriotism and sterling integrity; to collect and preserve the records and traditions of the family, and to encourage and pursue the essentials necessary to attain the highest standards of family life, social usefulness and character."

With this number of our Bulletin we continue building our genealogical and biographical history. In this age of science, art, invention, aviation, television, we are fully aware that unemployment and trade depression has affected some of our clan, especially during the trying days of the "bread and butter question" in "the struggle for existence," nevertheless, we are still confident, and we can truthfully say to our officers and sacrificing contributors, "Well done, you have kept the pace!"

Your editor wishes to extend his gratitude to our membership and friends, to the members of the family council, to the officers of our association and committees for their harmonious co-operation during the past year. This applies especially to the Finance Committee, the Chairman of the Family Council, our Secretary, our Treasurer, our Past Presidents, and friends who aided our advancement with their time, resources and ability. He also makes grateful acknowledgment for the high honors you have given him as President, in which capacity he tried at all times to do his best.

"Gratitude is the fairest blossom that springs from the soul, and the heart of man knoweth none more fragrant."

During the past year many of our members, under the guidance of the family council (on May 19, 1929) made pilgrimage to the Wenrich Church at Linglestown, Pa., where appropriate services were held. The Committee appointed at the last annual meeting deserves much credit for its splendid work. What a tradition our ancestors
